The other week I spent the afternoon photographing New Zealands latest export and top model winner Dani Hayes.
I never get to spend the afternoon shooting so I made sure it worked out with timing so they we had the afternoon free.
She’s a total chiller and one of the best and easiest models i’ve photographed.

In November of 2012 I was flown to New Zealand to work alongside some of my favorite brands, Altamont being one of them.
We spent a few days shooting the New Zealand Winter campaign for the label in and around Auckland.
Altamont being a brand from California where most of the looks are quite hazy and warm we wanted to add a New Zealand element to it, keeping with the hazy So-Cal vibe everything has a cooler touch to it as well as using classic New Zealand fauna and the incredible models it has to offer.
We put all the work together and produced a well designed and printed book to go out exclusively to stores and partners. It’s that much better seeing your work in print rather than slapped on some internet page.

I’ve been shooting a lot with the Contax T2 loaded with Porta 400. The combo is really working for me and the type of light that Melbourne offers.
Here are a few recent images from the many rolls I’ve gone through over the past few months, some highlights including a lot of swimming at the pier, life and times at VivaHate, Hanging with Paramore and Shaun Stussy. Everyday sightings, hanging with friends and photographing models.
{I’m trying to work on my color co-ordination and other similarities in shots. Also trying to take as much care with composing and framing as well. Take your time and analyse each shot. This isn’t instagram}

I recently photographed the Phillips Shirts residency at Captains of Industry. Thom Grogan from Captains has curated the collection of 60s Ivy League inspired shirts, hand picked from the far corners of Phillips Shirts dead stock warehouse.
